This design is a postage stamp from 1982 a three colour print on a sand t-shirt, from the collection of Berlin’s Palestine Solidarity Archive. An uBahn conversation starter like no other.
The text reads ‘Solidarity with the Palestinian People.’ Those living in the German Democratic Republic or DDR were engaged with reality of zionism and participated in influential state solidarity initiatives for Palestine, Nicaragua and other liberation movements that were part of state's peoples' political education programme.
100% of proceeds from this shirt will go to our friends at Lajee Center and 1for3 who are organising urgent grassroots community response across five refugee camps across the West Bank: Tulkarem, Nour Shams, Aida/Azza and Balata (near Nablus) as well as contributing to the outstanding legal fees fund for a Palestinian comrade curreently incarcerated in Berlin.
